I recently bought a 93 ranger, and am having some trouble figuring out what it is. It is covered in the ranger "splash" stickers, but its a fleetside. I bought it from the original owner who said the decals came with it from the dealer, and that its never had any body work done. But i thought all splash models were stepside?

 

it it has a fleetside, it is not a splash. splash came with the stepsides, color matched mirrors, bumpers, and grill. also came with chrome 5 spoke wheels and a 1" drop compared to xlt's. another thing to look at is the "ranger" emblem on the front fender. it should just say "ranger" and not have xlt under it. sounds like someone tried to make it look like a splash to make more money. post a pic.

 

thats weird, the splash was only available in flareside and in 93 the splash only came in regular cab. there was never a splash xlt or anything. an i know you can buy the splash decal kits if you can find them. my best guess is that its probably an xlt like you said. hope this helps.
