carburated 2.9????????

hey i was wondering if it was possible to carburate the 2.9 li? ive never seen one with a carb and havent really heard of one either. i would just go for the 2.8 but i just rebuilt this 2.9 like 20000 miles ago. its still a baby. its just all the dang sensors are crappin out. and its god awful expensive to replace that stuff. any ideas would be appreciated

Maybe use the 2.8 intake manifold on the 2.9? I'm not sure if it is the same pattern or not, but maybe worth a shot. I know they are close, if not the same.

hey thanks:) i had that idea but thought it might be crazy. glad i m not the only one thinking in that direction. the main things i was worried about was how the computer would act if i took the injection system out. i would like to leave the computer in it so my tranny(a4ld) would still shift into overdrive. what do u think?
