Rebuilding after deer. Fan(s?) AC removal.
I'm looking to save a little bit of money on fixing my 2004 2.3 single cab and have a few questions.
I'm looking to just disable the AC and remove the condenser and such, I was told I can just leave the compressor in there disconnected and as long as the wiring isn't connected the compressor clutch wont engage and thus just act like an idler. Is that right?
The other thing is the two fans, do I need the electric one anymore if I remove the AC?
Lastly, I think, the headlight plugs on the truck got broken. What parts do I need to replace them?
Thanks.

Yes disconnect the compressor but leave it on so you still buy the regular belt. With it unplugged, it won’t come on. One of the fans may not be needed but I’m not sure. You may still need both under heavy hot use. It depends on how it’s factory wired. I’m not sure what you would need for the lights. Check out rockauto.
