Remote Stat PATS Bypass Help

i got my remote starter installation finished up today and all went well but for some reason the bypass kit will not accept the code from my keys when i try and program it. The kit is the 555P which is printed as working for 99-01 Ford Rangers. We tried the two key programing method of turning first key to RUN until theft light goes off, then 2nd key to run until theft light off and then pressing the starter button about 1000x with no luck.

It is all wired up correctly because when i stick a key in the RUN position and press the starter the truck starts no problem. Anything that we are doing wrong as far as the programing goes or am i stuck getting a third key and a new bypass kit?

ive never used a 555p and we carry directed electronics at my shop. Return that wherever you bought that from and see if you can find a directed electronics 1100F or an XK04 module best buy will carry them. Ive never used the 555p so i cant help you get one of the ones i suggested i could help you out

so what it is gonna be is it is gonna be a wiring issue. it will be the yellow/black wire and the brown wire for the data tap and the immobilizer tap. i say ditch it and get a 556u go to the dealer pay $28 for the key and program it yourself in 3 min and put that in, it will be easy and nice. the reason y it is starting with the key in is because the pats sees a key there.

i just ordered a new key and the 556u about an hour ago. We have no idea why it wont work other than its a faulty unit because he triple checked the wiring and it was all correct. So i contacted the place i ordered it from and their return policy is BS so well see if i get any money back.
