Removing jump seats

Removing jump seats

Hey I have an 03 XLT 4x4 and Im putting new subs in it and need more room. Im trying to remove the jump seats and possibly the jack storage/cupholders. Does anyone know the trick?

Pop off the panels, unbolt the seat belt, then unbolt the seat.

You'll need a big A$$ star bit.



Removing the seats is extremely easy, but make sure you don't have any electrical wires going to your seats, if you do, your gonna have to remove the negative battery line, and insure the energy is drained from the system so it doesn't set off the airbag when you remove the seat.

What do you do with the electrical wires once the seats are out?

Not sure what wires you guys are talking about, but my rears have no wires at all. I'd expect that to be the case in most (if not all) Ranger jump-seats.
