Just got done replacing my rotor, but when I brake really hard, it feels like the is air in my lines, I have pressure then theres a small spot where theres nothing then I hit pressure again. I searched and it sounds like I need to bleed my lines correct?

Any other things I should do? I did pop the cap of the master cylinder to push the pieces on the calipers back to put new pads in, could air have gotten in that way?

Did you replace the rotor with one that has the sensor ring for the ABS ? Some replacements don't have it and that will confuse the ABS controller.
This is assuming you have 4 wheel ABS.

 

Make sure you didn't break a brake line when you were moving your caliper around.

Also, you sure your calipers and slide pins are not seized? I went to do my breaks, and had a very seized pin, had to put 2 new calipers on. Make sure all 4 pins are in good condition, take off the boots and lube them up. ALso you can push back your caliper pistons, reassemble and hit the brakes, check to see if all 4 pistons (2 per side) pushed out against the rotor again.

But yeah, good idea to bleed you breaks also, go get some brake fluid first. Remove as much as you can from the resevoir, fill with new fluid, then bleed. Check fluid level after.

 

I know I didn't break a brake line, I got a bin and place the caliper on it so there was no stress on the lines. I will check to see if they are siezed it doesn't seem like it because it brakes fine, theres just one section when I punch the pedal that losses some pressure it feels like theres a bubble.

I will drive it around a little on my back street no traffic, and see what happens.
