Rods coming out of wheel cylinder, Newbie

Hi,

I was changin the brakes on a 1990 Ford ranger recently and i somehow lost the rod that comes out of the wheel cylinder and presses against the shoes on my 10" rear drum brakes.

Does anyone know where i can get one? The one i lost is on the Right Rear facing towards the front of the truck. Autozone, Carquest and Orielly cant buy those.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Cody T.

yup. a junkyard is the only place that will have them, a dealership doesnt even have them, i bought a wrecked 91 ranger w/ 10" brakes and it took me 2 weeks to get the the pins. i went to all the auto stores in my town (10 plus) looking for them, even went to ALL the stealerships, no luck, so try your closest junk yard, bring about a four foot prybar to get a hub off. or you could luck out and get one that has it off already.

Don't they come with new wheel cylinders? If so they are only about $10-15 for a new wheel cylinder.
