no system check lights when first started

Hi, new to this forum and to rangers in general although have been a Ford person for a long time. I have a 1995 Ranger 2wd supercab Ijust picked up . I did not notice it when I first test drove it (was more concerned about rust since I leve in the northeast) but when you first start the truck no lights come on in the dash such as the check engine, brake, abs, etc. The only one that comes on is the airbag. Once started I checked the OD off light and that too does not light up. Guages seem to be working fine and truck runs/drives great. Any ideas? I checked all the fuses on in the panel and all tested good. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No help? Am I the only one that has/had this problem. I believed the O/D button also is not working because there is no difference in tranny shifting into overdrive when I depress.

I would think either all the bulbs are out or it could be the harness not being hooked up or loose.
When you press the OD button it should turn off overdrive and then back on when pressed again. If you are going fast enough and press the button it should downshift.

Yeah the tranny does not shift out of overdrive when I depress the button. I found a threads that stated to look under the plastic on steering column and look for a loose or broken wire, hard to belive that all the lights are out.

It is odd to have all the lights out. I would check the harness and the fuses.
