Seatbelt clicked in but shows its not. How to stop chime?

Like the tittle says I click my driver side seatbelt in but it doesnt show its clicked in and continues to beep. I know how to disable the chime but that requires me to unbuckle the seat belt ect... Since it doesnt register that its clicked in I cant disable the chime. Any ideas on how to fix this problem? By the way its a 2006 regular cab 4x4 ranger if that helps any... Any help would be greatly appreciated as the first minute or so of driving is annoying as ****

I will try shooting WD40 in it when i get out of work. As for the miles it has a little over 50k. The seatbelt minder deactivation wont work because it doesnt register when the seatbelt is clicked in...

I tried shooting some WD40 into the buckle but it didnt work. I tried disconnecting the wires under the seat but all that did was disable the indash seatbelt light... I am all out of ideas anyone else have any input? I noticed the red button on the seatbelt is cracked so so maybe something broke in there not sure. Anyone know where i could find a replacment buckle online?
