Icon7 Smart Junction Box

I'm having problems with my headlamps, I get power to pin30 of C2280C and to F4 and the other side of F4 to pin16 of C2280A has continuity. Electricity taking the path of least risistence could it be going to the low current board or the Daytime Running Lights driver because I'm not getting power to the either headlight low beam at all. Is there a problem with the low current board and does that control the pulse width modulator that is needed to power up our low beam lights..

Fuse 3 and 4 were the first things I checked when my lights went out. I was able to drive home with lights by holding the blinker lever in the flash to pass mode. I'm sure I need a new smart junction box mine went to public school and is basically a smart *** junction box.

PWM is only used for Daytime running lights, and that can be turned on or off by dealer by connecting to SJB

SJBs were used in Rangers from 2004 thru 2011
There were only 2 versions, with Keyless entry or without Keyless entry

If you have 12v on pin 30(head light switch on) then jumper that wire over to pin 16 or 20 on same connector to see if that head light comes on, by passing the SJB
If not then you have a false 12v on pin 30, bad connection, Volt meters do not draw any amps, so you can see 12volts with no amps but under 2volts with a load, like head lights, connected

SJB can fail for sure, but Multi-function switch or head light switch are far more common failure points

I tested the multifunction switch and it was bad, I'm waiting on that to come in in the next couple of days I hope the problems is just with that, I'm just trying to jumper wires if i need to or just drive in the day with hand signals

What bothers me is the component check for headlights on the multifunction switch. Checking ohms between 6 and 7 will give you continuity if you are in flash to pass only and will energize both 7 and 9 and the lights work, 7 is basically highbeam and 9 is basically lowbeam headlights, by themselves neither will work but together they work. I have to find someone to hold the multifunction switch in FTP so I can check the headlights out. up close.

Thank You Ron the problem bad contacts on the light switch that would normally be the first thing I would check but in my defense I'm just plain burnt out and the light switch was something I just had taken apart along with anything else I could possibly clean due to vandalism; a fire extinguisher was emptied inside my truck. I spent many days cleaning that up.
