Spark Plug Wire removal

I have a 2011 Ranger 2.3 4 cylinder. Trying to remove the spark plug wires. Got the front two off and replace the spark plug but cannot get to the two rear ones. Do I have to remove some things to get to them? The spark plug wires are mushroom shaped on the top side but below are rubber ribs. Pulling straight up (only direction I can move) seems to bind .

Pull harder. The rubber has fused due to heat.

When installing your new plugs and wires put a dab of dielectric grease inside the boot and it will come off easier next time.

Spark Plug removal

The two spark plugs closest to the firewall are so far away and in such a narrow area that I cannot get a grip on them except with my left hand which is weaker than the right. I have even purchased a tool that allows me to grip the rubber boot and pull it up a bit but I cannot seem to get it to budge
