Speedometer Inconsistent

I have a 2009 Manual FX4 Ranger and my speedo is inconsistent or just not working, are the ABS sensors connected with the VSS sensor in the 2001+ years? I have no ABS light on or any codes that say there is a problem.
Thanks

2009 Ranger has a Digital dash, called HEC, hybrid electronic cluster
So speedometer signal comes from the Computer(PCM) on a data network, called CAN bus system

PCM gets speed signal from OSS sensor on rear of transmission, OSS is the output shaft speed sensor
Computer then adjust it for tire size and rear axle ratio(calibrates) and sends it off to the Cluster

VSS(vehicle speed sensor) was last used in 1997 Rangers, 1998-2000 used rear axle ABS sensor for speed signal, in 2001, and up, all used OSS sensor, but VSS is still used in discussions

In 2009 ABS system is separate

So its most likely a CAN bus issue or HEC issue
Google: Ford HEC test mode

See if test mode works on your 2009, it doesn't on all years, if so maybe it will show a code, it can show Bxxx, Cxxx and Uxxx codes that an OBD2 code reader may not show
PCM would FOR SURE set a code if OSS sensor was the issue, a Pxxx code

And the common FIX for ALL electronics is rebooting, so when you are stuck, you cut ALL power and reboot, so unhook either battery cable for 5 min, or longer, then reconnect and ALL the microprocessors/computers/modules, ect, will REBOOT with factory software

You will lose Clock time and radio presets, but thats all
