HIYA FOLKS
What years of ranger steering column's will interchange? I have a 92 xlt and I need a column without all the xtras, cruse tilt ,column shift just a plain jane.Am pulling the dash as to remove alot of wiring as most of it I will not need. Also is there a differnce between MANUAL AND POWER STEERING box length. getting rid of it too. all parts are good just not gonna work for what Im building.

1983-1992 should fit, 1993 were next generation and might fit but probably not
Some Rangers did come with manual steering in the early 1980's, I think the steering wheel was a bit larger which you will need, they would also not have column shift for automatic trans, and only a horn button
Smaller steering wheel without power assist is a real pain in parking lots, lol, also very very hard on the attachment points of the column and shaft bearings
I think Rangers w/power assist use a 15" diameter wheel, you should try for 17" which was common for manual steering
