Suspected ground issue….
Hey I’ve recently frame swapped my 95 with 2.3 and 5 speed… at first when I was done it wouldn’t start and was going nuts… the ground the the battery wasn’t connected… got it connected and everything was fine. Recently my battery started overcharging, the gauges would go crazy and the battery light would come on after 2.5k rpm… thought it was my rock auto alternator ( it had 2k miles) replaced it and I’m still having the same issue…
is it possibly the ground on the wheel well is bad? I want to know what it could be before I blow more money on parts like a dummy…
could a bad ground cause charging issues/ and or gauge issues (oil pressure switch reading too high instead of on/off, temp and gas off. Battery light etc. lmk what you think

Yes a bad ground can cause all kinds of issues. I recently had a bad ground at the wheel well. Corrosion was really bad as were several other areas. Take a wire brush to all your ground connections. Body, frame, engine and other areas.
You can use a multimeter to check your alternator. It should be around 13-14 volts when idling. Even a cheap multimeter will do the job. Plenty of youtube videos on how to operate a multimeter. When using a multimeter, unless I know specific values when doing a resistance test, I have a little faith in it. If you have a 50 strand wire, and 49 are broken, the one broken wire will still pass the test. Just something to keep in mind.
