Still wet carpet

Follow-up to last post. Cowl drains clean. Before last rain covered cowl vents and bottom of windshield. No water up under dash or behind kick panels. Wet along sides of both front doors. Door drains open and clear.
After I dried it out there was still dampness in the morning same places (very damp nights and frosty mornings climate). Other than door frame weatherstripping worn out I have absolutely no idea.

If drains are clean and no rot in firewall/cowl area, I would check your windshield seal

When I covered cowl half of windshield was also covered, so any leakage there would be minimum at best. Pulled back kick panels, completely dry as was carpet, only wetness was next to front door, nowhere else. Noticed small amount of standing water next to and under bottom weatherstripping piece.

Is there any relationship to driving in the rain or just when it sits in the rain?

Can you park it under cover or put a tarp over the cab and cowl when parked just for a few days to see if it matters
Dry out the carpet before the test, of course

Know where you are going wth the driving ques. No rustout in floors so not coming from road. Last sizable rain I covered cowl/windshield (not cab). Dry carpet at time. Two days later (didn’t drive) wet carpet right along front doors about 1 or 2 inches wide and no further than door length, I.e. none under dash, kick panels or by rear doors. All door drains open/clean.

I guess all that's left is cab/door weather strip, cover cab and doors for a few days

Agreed, that’s all that’s left apparently. We’re rain-free now for a week. I got all new weatherstripping, need to finish installing. Did easy parts then lost enthusiasm. So many little issues popping up are making me tired of it all. Thanks for input, much appreciated.
