tachometer installation

OK here it goes............I want to install a aftermarket tachometer I just got. Is there any websites that will show where to hook up and run the wires in a 1997 Ford ranger 2.3L? I want to do this right with out blowing up my vehicle.

The tach signal is on TAN/Yellow and it goes from the PCM to the instrument cluster. You will probably also need keyed power (RED/yellow), chassis ground (BLACK/yellow) and illumination (LIGHT BLUE/Red). You can pick up all four behind the cluster.

Aftermarket tachs are often universal and need to be set for 4, 6 or 8 cylinders. Check the instructions.
