Installing Tachometer

Installing Tachometer

First off will this work in my ranger? I know nothing about it except for that it came out of a car and it works



second how do you install it? are there general directions for the wires

If you do decide that you want to use it, you will need to find out if the tach is set up for a 4, 6 or 8 cylinder engine. Some tachs (especially older models) are factory calibrated for only one of the 3 but others have a means for the user to adjust the tach for the different cylinder counts.

i wasnt going for quality my fellow rangerees i was just going for a cheapo, we all do it from time to time

You could get buy a Ranger cluster off ebay that has a tach, and sell yours and not pay hardly anything, and not have to drill holes or anything. Thats what I plan to do.
