tail gate fall off?

so today i got out too my area for work opend up my tail gate for work and well it fell off. has this ever happend too any of you before? so i had parts of the hindge fall in the snow and ice in the parking lot sewer lol i have the best luck. Anyways took it too the dealership and they couldnt belive this has happend.....................is this unusual? I am not really happy about it as i have stuff in the back of it for work. I mean there are tucks that have been on the road for 40 years and they dont have there tail gates fall off. The more I think about it the more i realise i have had alot of problms with my truck and the dealership. I have had it in 7 times because the windows role down in a shakey way, had my drivers side mirror fall off ( the glass inside of the houseing thing), all my lights and raido and window fuses went mabey? they quit working for an hour on the high way then magicley fixed them selves. Anyways sorry for the rant but some times its nice too vent too people who are more likley too have had the same experances.

Put one of those around the passenger side pivot point and you'll never have to worry about it.

yep it fell out a few times. ones... going down the 1/4 mile.... and even the D@MN tail gate bet me...

your windows shakes? no... you got to hear my 87 go down the road. it sounds like a sherman tank.

it lest the side mirror didn't hit you in the head.

have you ever ran over your own front bumper doing 65. then you get a new one and you go ahead and put it on, and as soon as you start the first bolt the truck pops out of park rolls back and hits your 78 f-350 (which is a sherman tank)

LOL That's for the guys who just pull to hard.......LOL

If you open your tail gate without pulling up on it, you shouldn't have any issues. But it DOES happen every now and then.

Hose clamp is great for making it harder to steal your tailgate too, just make sure the screw is rotated so that it's hard to get too.
