Temperature Switch

Temperature Switch
The hot cold indicator on dash does not work. I was told that it was the Temperature Switch. Can anyone tell me where the switch is located?
I have a Ford Ranger 2000, 4.0, 4x4

I'm guessing they were talking about the indicator itself.

The switch and that indicator are the same thing
