Third brake light not working????

Third brake light not working????
Hey everybody. I own a 95 Ford Ranger LX. The 3rd brake light does not work. New bulbs still no work. The fuel gauge and the temperature gauge also do not work, not sure if they are related.
I checked fuses.
Any advice on where to start this process of repair would be greatly appreciated.
