those who have installed 12v outlet in bed

i gotta 12v outlet that i plan on sticking in the bed of the truck.... what bid did u guys use to drill the hole with? this is the one that ill be using

i just havent figured out yet how im going to screw the nut in to make it tight against the bed, but i figure sumthin out

get a hole saw or a uni-bit.......

I literally used a dremel tool to widen the hole by my driver's side taillight until it was big enough for the outlet.

^^^ yea cause I'd swear there is already a hole just need to trim it some...

well my bed is set up different so i cant exactly trim a hole, cuz there isnt one.. lol.. but ill just drill a hole.. lol

unibit would be the best but a hole saw would be good.

Perhaps you can try bolting it to the underside of the railing? Im sure theres enough room in there, you can squeeze some fingers under to tighten the nut somehow.. plus its angled down, no one wille ver see it, and the elemnts wont get to it there.
