tire size help

tire size help

i have an 02 ranger xlt with coil springs and want the largest tire i can put on a stock ride with no problems.

so if im reading that correct i can fit 31x10.5xr15 without trouble? or will that scrub?

Don't know bro, use the chart. We don't know your current wheel size. Or if you're going to get new wheels, or what. But the chart should help you figure it out. Since your XLT has coils it must be 2wd

i have 225x70r15 on oem rims. i believe they are 15x8.5 with 3 3/4 backspacing

XLT & XL 2wd
15x7 stock suspension - 215x75x15, 235x75x15, 235x60x15, 30x9.5x15, 31x10.5x15(may need to trim)
15x8 stock suspension - 30x9.5x15, 31x10.5x15(may need to trim)
I googled your tire size and it appears they're made for a 6.5" rim so you probably have the 7 inch rim. So,

15x7 stock suspension - 215x75x15, 235x75x15, 235x60x15, 30x9.5x15, 31x10.5x15(may need to trim)
