went out started the truck drove about 10 miles and truck just shut down, no gauges no odometer light with the little lock on it light up any info would be great thanks in advance

 

Check battery cables, both
Check Fuses in engine fuse box, test with OHM meter, "looking OK" isn't enough

Long shot, does the ignition key feel sloppy?
The main ignition switch is under the steering column above brake/gas pedal area.
It, of course, turns on and off all power to the truck............

The key pushes/pulls a long rod that moves ignition switch into its various positions

 

it was dark when I left it in the parking lot last night, but I did have a larger fuse with 20 marked on it with a clear plastic top that looked to be blown in the engine fuse box don't know what that type of fuse is called but you can see through the top

 

Most automotive fuses are "Blade Type" now

And most are transparent.........BUT......looking OK is not definitive, you should have a OHM meter handy and test it

Blade type fuses just pull out and push in, although needle nose pliers are helpful if you have fat fingers, like me.
There is no "direction" they need to face, no + or - side

 

it was one of the female maxxy fuses that had blown replaced fuse and all is well, thanks for the help RonD 20AMP FMX FUSE BP/FMX-20-RP
