Turn signal lights are completely out but hazard lights work fine
Hey guys I'm new here. My turn signals are completely out, the handle still ticks up or down but electronically it's dead as a door ****. I tested the hazard lights and they work fine. I've also changed and tested every fuse related to the turn signals so nothing wrong there. I actually just had my truck detailed and it was working fine before but after I picked it up the problem happened. Now I know it's not something that would have been caused by the person cleaning it, but is it possible that they got liquid in a connection or did a component go out that I need to change? Any advice would help

Welcome to the forum
Need YEAR of the Ranger since they had many electrical changes from 1983 to 2011?
If its 1995 and up then it will use a single flasher unit for both turn and 4-way
Earlier used 2 separate flashers
Year would also narrow down which fuses to check, and you need to test a fuse with OHM meter not just look at them, or replace with another fuse of same amp rating, from a known working system
Turns use a Key on power fuse
4-ways use a full time power fuse
So different power wires but share the same OUT to bulb wires
If 4-way flashers are working then the OUT to bulb wires are OK
So problem will be on power wire side for the turns
That could be key on power fuse, need to test that fuse slot to see if it has 12volts with Key ON
Or could be flasher, not passing the 12v key on power to multi-function switch(turn signal stalk)
Or could be problem in Multi-function switch, its not getting 12volt from flasher
If you post the year I can post the wiring diagram for it

Oh whoops, can't believe I missed that info. It's a 1999 6 cylinder supercab. I just purchased a relay switch to see if that's it

1999 was the last year of the "3 wire" setup in Rangers, 2000 and up used "2 wire"
What that means is that 1999 has a separate turn signal bulb, the 3rd wire to a tail light
In 2000 that changed and turn/brake shared a bulb in tail lights, no 3rd wire
Diagram below
So you basically have the fuse(#10), the flasher and the turn signal stalk
The wires from the turn signal stalk out to the bulbs are OK since 4-ways work

It was the turn signal stalk. I changed the relay and the problem continued. Changed the stalk and it's working fine. Thanks for the help man, it was a quick fix and $30 later
