ultra gauge... cheaper then scangauge
i used the windshield mount, had to put a couple of sharp bends in it to make it work good
That's what i wanna do too. Or MAYBE ill make a cutout and install it in my explorer console as if it were stock or some ****. But to be honest it'd be best higher up so i can looka t it and the road.
its too bad i couldnt use the mount from my garmin, cuz that mounts perfect.
eh......neat little gadget. IMO, not as nice as the scangauge. Overall shape and look knocks the scangauge out the water though. But the display looks a little too busy....you want clear readings that you can easily find fast, not a blob of letters and numbers errrrrywhere. Looks slow as snot too....something that is kinda important if you're using it for real time econ....you don't want it slow like the vids showed on the tach. And while the display is really neat and alot better looking than the scangauge, you can't change the backlight color or tone. So a blue lettered screen in a sea of green might not tickle most fancys. Cord is not removable so you can't simply unhook and plug into a friend's ride to clear their code if you've got your stuff routed and cleanly installed, like I do with my scangauge. Yeah an extra cord is $20, but it really comes in handy. People looking at scangauges......when the II first started to become bigger around here when Wayne started selling it, it was priced at about $130 shipped and that's when I nabbed mine. I've enjoyed it for going on 4 years now and the price was perfect. Within no time I made the money back in fuel savings.
The price is nice for what you get....but pretty soon, the advantages of the scangauge for a little more money will outweight what you get from the $40/$59/$75 or whatever this is.
/end ScangaugeII fanboy moment. lol

You can choose to use less gauges per page, if you dont want many letters, the speed I must say its faster than the scangauge, I used to have the scangauge and a MSD dashhawk on my other car and I found this ultragauge to be faster. You will decide once you tested, you cant tell by just looking at the video.
You can always open the unit and unsolder the cable if you want to do a custom instalation, thus unit also has a very nice alarm system wich the scangauge doesnt.
I can buy 3 of this gauges for the price of one scangauge and have more features , different pages , better looking and a easier menu. It doesnt have backlight color changing or removable cable but in my case I dont need it.

Umm you're judging a lot for not owning on. Scanguage looks gay as ****. They hella overprice their product and have a pretty pathetic "appearance". I'm still waiting for scangauge advantages. Maybe a lighter wallet is one of them. Also 20$ for a cord is hella pathetic. When the ultragauge first came out with its low price I would've just bought one for two of my friends and still saved money over the scangauge.
I'm going to buy one of these.
I don't know if you guys happened to read the support forums over there. Apparently some guys had dead batteries the next day when they left the gauge plugged in overnight.
Something to think about...

Here are some pictures of the ultragauge taken apart. To take apart the casing you need a really small paperclip tip to unlock the case, you will see 6 small holes, 2 on the top 2 on the bottom, and 1 on each side, just push the paperclip tip into the hole and pull that corner.
You can unsolder the wires and make your custom installation like I will. or you can buy a ethernet male/female connector and make it like the scangauge.
either way here are the pictures, components looks very good made, having years of experience in this field I must say they are very good made.

I ordered mine the 23 and it shipped today (25) Cant wait to get it...
I wonder how much it would be for this company to make me a cradle for it

I did... It might take a few hours... I think our government run mail system sucks nuts at some things... I had a tracking # onetime that never showed in the system. And the number on the box matched the number i was given.

So it doesn't display trans temps? That's the main reason I got my scangauge, I would have no use for this one than but if that's not what you're after than the price is right with this one.
