Unhelpful Borla Site

For nearly 3 weeks I've been shooting borla E-mails regarding their mufflers. All their data is geared towards their full cat back systems. I'm just trying to find the differences internally of each type of muffler. I can't find what the difference from their turbo to proXS is. Heck, it doesn't even really specify what makes a proXS muffler a proXS.

My question is if anyone knows what the difference is between these mufflers. It's really frusterating me.

On the flip side I was quoted for a custom flowmaster 40 cat back system for 270. Or a magnaflow for 320 and a gibson for 290. They didn't know what a borla system cost because when they were looking at ordering the muffler they came to the same conclusion as me - they didn't really know the differences. Please help!

the turbo is the old style and the proxs is a newer model which prolly promotes better flow and better sound/performance. the proxs has more model choices also. if were you i would get a flowmaster or the borla, i dont like my magnaflow at all, im getting a flowmaster soon.

This is another reason I want to get a new exhuast. I live in Wisconsin. I have road salt on my truck for 4 months of the year. If you folks down south saw the underside of my truck you'd think it sat for 10 years. My trailer hitch is brown and my spare tires looks like it covered in a coat of mud from the rust on it. But this summer I'm going to have a rustoleum party and spray that sucker down.

I know the proXS is newer, but it doesn't say what makes this thing so much better than the turbo. They don't have any inside shots of the mufflers to compare or have any facts to back up that this thing is any better. What I'm really after is how do these things sound compaired to Leo's turbo. I don't want to get one and it makes my truck sound like a weed-wacker ricer.

Go to the flowmaster site and they have cut-aways of every muffler and posts the differences of each. I don't know if they still do but I remember even seeing a flow chart on their site. This borla site is just a pain in the ****.

The only thing pushing me away from the flowmaster is the inside nosie. I don't want to be driving down the highway pulling our boat at 4 in the morning and have it blowing my ears out. A nice rumble in the cab but not so loud I can't talk to whoever is in the passenger seat would be nice. And from what I've heard of the borla that is what I'll get.

Maybe I'm wrong about how loud it is in cab and someone with a flowmaster on a 4.0 can fill me in on how loud it actually is. My girlfriend's dad has dual flowmasters on his silverado and I feel like my head is going to burst anytime we are going out with their boat. Yes I know it's a V8 compared to a V6 but if it is that loud I don't think I could even stand it.
