These photos are from a 2007 with 115k miles on it... FX4, bucket seats... asking 10k for it. Is the undercoat spraypaint job something to be concerned about or should I ****** this up quick?
Can't really tell from the pictures, BUT, why would you apply what looks like fresh undercoating (poorly) on a 12 year old truck?
Are they trying to hide something ?
A bad job apply undercoating, is worse than no undercoating.
Followup - Took the vehicle to a mechanic for a presale inspection. The spray paint undercoat was the least of the problems...
Truck was leaking coolant from who knows where. Will stall when the wipers are used while in drive. Wheel bearings. Front brakes. Ball joints. Exhaust leak. Wiper blades. Some kind of leaf spring mount needs to be replaced. Tranny shifts were too soft for the mechanics tastes.
I offered the inspection report to the dealership in case they wanted to look at anything... nope. They offered a "warranty". I walked.

That’s just as well, I wouldn’t have paid $10k for it.... not after seeing those pictures
It was a 2007 FX4 with leather bucket seats, a perfect condition interior, good exterior...
the market is crazy right now. I'm willing to pay top dollar especially after being stood up by 3 dealerships already... but not for something that needs to go to the ER as soon as I get it home
