Weird clicking in my dash after battery died
Weird clicking in my dash after battery died
So, this is strange. I’ve been having battery issues, when driving above 40 mph, my battery light in the dash would turn on the guage would go to the High and my radio would turn off. Woke up today to a dead battery, tried to jump it with a handheld portable jumper (weak) didn’t work. And now there is this weird clicking coming from my dash. Video attached.
PS replaced the alternator about 4 months ago. Battery terminals are a little wonky on the positive side.

Welcome to the forum
Your "new" alternator is bad, leaking AC volts or voltage regulator is fried
Point of the voltage regulator is to keep alternators output between 13.5volts to 14.8volts
Higher or lower volts will turn on Battery Light, higher volts confirmed by Volt Meter
The high volts "cooked" your battery, so BOTH will have to be replaced
Not sure what year you have but above applies to any year and any model of vehicle
But yes, if you have an alarm system then that could be the clicking relay you hear
But could also be any relay because voltage is low
