weird e-brake problem

so the light for my e-brake doesnt work....i thought it was a bulb issue for the longest time

the light does not come on when i depress the ebrake

the light does not come on if i turn the key on (not starting the engine), when the rest of the console lights come on

the light DOES come on AS i am cranking the engine

as soon as im done cranking, its off again

any thoughts?

Dan, My e-brake light doesn't come on with the ignition switch in the "RUN" position, but comes on in the "START" position, just like yours is doing.

It sounds like a wiring problem to the e-brake switch, or the switch.
