Icon4 What Part is This? Need help!

Hey guys,
Sorry if Im posting this in the wrong spot. Still new to this forum.
I have a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT V6 3.0L
and I noticed this tube just hanging there after I replaced the DPF Sensor and
I have no idea what it is. Some type of pump?
Any help is appreciated!

No Idea what this part is on my 2000 Ford Ranger 3.0 L.
Any ideas? The tube broke off inside it.

That rubber elbow will come right off. Finding that vacuum hose as an OEM replacement will be the hard part. Might want to visit your local auto parts store and find their vacuum hose section and see if they have a kit or parts that will allow you to put a new elbow on that vacuum hose once you cut that broken tip off the line.
