On the 4.0 SOHC I'm trying to figure out what the rubber tube/breather thing is for in this picture (the thing circled in red). For reference, the green line indicates the battery and the yellow line indicates the ABS system. This is on the driver side of the engine bay right above the wheel well.

I'm thinking it's a breather tube for the power steering system, but I can't tell where the line runs from.

Front diff is clipped on to the frame, unless that changed since 99.

 

Yes, I'm 4x4. Whatever it is, it's been leaking on my 2011 Sport. Initially thought it was a power steering breather but PS fluid is still above min line and I'm not sure if it has moved. I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow.

A small amount of research shows that the front diff tube was relocated in '05 or '06 i believe.

You were right, it's the front diff. Dealer has my truck and has no idea why it's leaking.
