the clip that holds the harness to the headlight broke, and now my headlight goes out because the harness slides off.



any idea where i can get a new one?

 

I think autozone has replacements with wire pigtails. you'd be replacing the whole thing, and chopping the wires near the plug to hook the new one into.

 

i got one that come off a 1996 ranger might be the same??

 

go to a ford dealer or maybe a junkyard.

i can't tell if thats for a headlight or not, maybe try an auto parts store, they have little things like that.

 

I went to a $1 admission junk yard and clipped like 8 of them. ALOT of fords run that style plug. 9007 and 9004 have the same pigtail clip. New ones at autoparts stores run about $5 ea though.

But if you go to ford, it'll run you about $35. I wanted OEM ones....so I went to the JY found some really really nice clean ones too!

 

well , none of the local auto-parts stores had em and the ford dealership wanted $30 for one (gypsies).

Yea.....Windstars, 98+ escorts, 98+ Taurus, the mercury counterparts......theres probably more, I usually ripped mine from Windstars.
