well i would suggest a three foot. it wont extend mugh higher than the truck and you wont hit it n everything. Trucker stops are great places t get whips, so check around there.

ah yes the mount, there are different ways to mount them to your vehcle, but as for the actual whip, It will have a prtty standard thread end on it. every once in a while youll see one with a smaller threaded end but most of the time, no.
how you mount it is up to you... you can do it to the body, to the bumper, t the bed, mounts have been made to attach to the blot by the tailgate... its endless...

You can either go online and check these sights: www.copper.com or www.hyelectronics.com or www.1stopelectronics.com
for the parts you need OR try locally at one of the truck stops.... They usually have antenna parts on hand for the truckers... The only problem is ....; the parts can be more expensive at the truck stops.
There are several types of mounts available.... Magnetic mount with PL-239 to screw on a PL-259, a hard mount PL-239 to screw on a PL-259 or a hard mount with a screw on 3/8 stud for a mast or whip antenna.
