Window inconsistancy

I just bought an '02 Ranger supercab yesterday and the drivers sidewindow went down about 1/4 and back up no problem when I was showing the truck to my dad. Today it won't go down at all, the passenger side works fine.

Any ideas? I'm completely new at this.

There are numerous posts online about Rangers, Explorers and even F150s having this problem. It's usually the power window motor.

See this thread for some details: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/...t=window+motor

Thanks for the links. The problem is that I can't determine the problem. I don't think its the motor because it just stopped working all of the sudden (it worked 3 days ago) I'm pretty sure its the switch so I'm going to go junkyard hunting for a replacement. I hit the switch and you can hear a secondary clicking so I don't know what is making that noise. I gotta make sure about the switch before I mess with the motor.
