Windshield Wiper Fluid Squirts Only Occasionally

Hi Guys, just picked up a 2002 Ranger XL auto with 4.0L, great truck so far. I noticed the windshield wiper fluid only comes out once every 10-15 tries when I press the button on the stalk. I'm pressing and holding it all the way down.

The fluid tank is full. Could the issue be the pump or the multi-switch/stalk itself? Any insight is appreciated, thanks!

ROFL

A friend of mine had the same problem. Some sort of dirty hose issue. Just throwing ideas. Hope is not an expensive fix.

another thing it could be is the squirters. try to clean them up if they are dirty and clogged up.

Check the nozzles and the hoses. There could be an air leak causing the pump to starve.
