Yet another "Crank no start" thread
Don't apologize. It all worked out in the end. You knowing that the yellow wire was on Pin 1 and just using some common sense figured it all out.
It would have been much much more difficult (and possibly much more expensive) for this "non-mechanic" to have gotten to this point without your insight. Your help in diagnosis gave me and my son the confidence to carry on and figure this thing out. :) It's much appreciated.

Infman

Want to but in on your ongoing posts with member RonD, May be in your shoes at some time, nice to know help is out there. It's been my experience that sometimes the root of the problem is so simple it hurts. Mice will chew the wiring, causing a relay problem. You replace the bad relay but the problem is still there because you haven't fixed the mice meal. Cars can have multiple engine to body grounds, some are hidden away and you don't see the corrosion. relays can reset themselves. a relay goes bad, then a minute later all is well. Computers won't tell on themselves, they will say all is well to fool you. I know this sounds stupid but this happens all the time. I look for the simplest things. PCM's and ECM;s don't go belly up on their own, if you open one up and see a problem. don't give up, find out what simple thing caused the problem; Thanks for letting me take up your time, just some thoughts I have found.
