Rear door will not open.
I have a 2000 Ranger XLT four door. The rear door on the passenger side made a popping sound and now will not open. The latch is attached with rivets (?). I thought Ford would do a little better job than this . The only way I see to fix it is to grind the rivets off, fix what's broken, and re-rivet the latch back on. I would appreciate any help offered. Thanks.
These are what you'll need. I replaced mine earlier this year. It took only a few hours to do both passenger and driver side.

And here's a tutorial on how to do it. It's pretty straight forward with the proper tools. You're going to need to do both sides because it's a guarantee the other side will break as well.
