I say go for it. I'd like to see them for my install as well.

Yeah, Photobucket is killing me here with their image policy.
Can someone share the install pics for this OHC with me? I'm getting ready to do this mod on a 2001 Ranger and would really appreciate it. In particular, the PCM or GEM (whichever is used for 2001) wire tap pics/instructions and temp sensor positioning on the vehicle for accurate temps.
I'm pretty sure I can figure the rest out, but any/all pics or an intact write up is always appreciated.
Thanks.

The mounting bracket, I did the same thing as you, test fit with a second bezel and thinking this isn't going to work.
When cutting the hole in the headliner, cut it smaller than the bracket, just wide enough for the tabs to fit, and just long enough so the 2 tabs and 2 screws that fasten the console to the bracket fit, you can always make the hole bigger if needed.
Mount the bracket between the roof and headliner, the bracket will hold the headliner down a bit, when you install and tighten the 2 screws that hold the console to the bracket it pulls everything together and closes the gap.
Like everyone else has said on everything I have read on doing this install, The hardest part is getting up enough nerve to make the first cut into the headliner.
Recommend using a straight edge and a super sharp utility knife to make the cuts.

Is this the right temp sensor
This is what the temp sensor looks like...
It is located just above where the bumper mounts up. under the driver side headlight.
Also... it hasn't been mentioned, but there are many of these consoles out there with sunroof controls. They have a different bracket. I thought I would just post up some comparison pics, I haven't installed it.
Here is the sunroof console, with the smaller bracket. You can see it has a tab on the front of the console where it mounts. This could probably be stuck into the headliner, or bolted directly to the cab I guess.
Here you can see the difference in the bracket side by side, and the tab on the sunroof console. Both brackets mount to the truck the same, but the usual one is longer and has holes for the console to bolt into.
So, just an FYI. Thought I'd throw it out there. Not sure what it takes to get it in sold, but go for it.

Anyone know if this is the temp sensor?
