Hi Everyone:
New to the club.
I just bought a pair of seats out of a 86 Mustang SVO and noticed that the holes in the seats do not match exactly to the holes in my Ranger. Do I have to go out and buy a universal track? and if so, does anyone know of the type of bracket to buy?
My ranger is a supercab, Edge Plus, 2 door, Tan Interior. Thanks help is appreciated

 

I would just swap the seat tracks from the ranger seats to the mustang seats. That would be the easiest way.

 

Thanks for tha advice. I neglected to mention that the drivers side seat on the mustang is electric, can I still swap out the tracks on my ranger seats to the mustang electric seat. ?

 

01 seat tracks aren't a simple unbolt. the tracks are part of the recline mechanism.


easiest way it to get a set of 93-7 ext cab ranger tracks or a set of 95-01 explorer tracks. you can get the explorers with power, and probably figure out a way to make the power work. i think ford used the same wiring setup and switches in those seats.

 

Would a seat swap from an 01 ford ranger ext cab work with front seats out of a 01 ford sport trac? Mustang seats are to old and are not worth the trouble that I got, wasted time and $

 

they should bolt in. you may have to enlarge on of the holes but everything lines up. I have 1999 explorer eddie bauer leather seats in my truck

 

x2, you will also need to bolt your seat belt to the side of the seat.

Just found some nice leather tan seats out of a 2000 ford expedition eddie bauer. According to the last post that was sent to me you put 1999 eddie bauer seats in your trk. Would these fit as well?

 

i have explorer eddie bauer seats. expeditions aren't the same unfortunately.

 

you could probably just get the mounting bracket off an explorer and change that over then right?

 

no you'd have to make it custom because they won't bolt up in the same spot as the seat. the seats are also wider so you'd have no center console.

 

Ok guys I'm new here and have never taken the time to join a forum . I usually just troll for my info,but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for so here's my question.
Has anybody put Lincoln Ls seats in a 1998 extended cab Ranger?
I found a set of black ones from an 02 in almost perfect shape for a100 bucks . The seats that came in my truck are killing my lower back. Any useful info would be much appreciated.

 

How far off are the holes ?

 

I'd assume they'd be too wide.

 

In the Mustang seats ?
