04 level 2 itrerior

i wanna switch over my whole interior to black..but imma be putting level 2 seats in..and i want the 04 dash and center console..will this be able to go in to my 03?

you can do everything except 04 gauges. but dont expect it to be cheap, Its gonna be a good couple grand for all that stuff...

couple grand for all of it? wtf.. well..ok..lol..i why not the 04 gauges? even if i get a whole new dash? how much u think the seats would be if i get them from the dealer (not the leather ones)

you couldn't get a whole new dash...the instrument cluster has an entirely different microprocessor set-up from you have in your truck

i got my fx4 seats at the junkyard with an explorer center cobsole for less than 200 bucks

it would be easier if you had an 04.. all the electrical stuff is different.

jdugan did his it was a couple grand easy

Yeah i remember when he swapped the black dash in. It was much dinero.

It would probably cheaper to dye most of the plastic to black than try and buy all the parts.

The 04 cluster is controlled by its own computer and has digital aspects on it, that the 03 and back aren't programmed to control.

And his replacement dash was from a compatible year, not a 2004+. The 04's not only have a different cluster, they have a completely revamped, rewired and rerouted harness throughout the whole truck. And a new Smart Junction Box to replace the GEM, CSM and fuse panel. Even if you had a donor vehicle and all of the documentation, swapping in an 04+ dash into a 03-back would be a nightmare.

sorry to kinda bump this thread but got a quick question bout the 04s..

they come out with some new gauges?

cuz im gettin tired of my stock ones..

and the same freckin color..i wanna change so bad

aight thanks..ill just keep my dash n swap out everything else..ialready have the platsic on order..and the 06 emblems.. :)
