hey guys,

I have a 06 ranger sport and I am looking to replace my passenger side seatbelt buckle....it is completly jammed and wont budge! to save time and further frustration I am looking to replace the buckle.

I have searched high and low online but cant find anything on a replacement part!

Anyone have any ideas where I can get one, without paying dealer prices??

dealer, junk yard, or maybe ebay. dealer would probably be the easiest route.

 

and the most expensive!

go to a junk yard... you will need a fairly large star shaped socket... and a breaker bar... first before going to JY get yours off...

Also, anything 2003 and newer should fit.

I may have a set in the garage. Give me a day or two to look between work and I will let you know.

I was told today by a auto recycler, that the seatbelt buckle COULD be welded onto the seat.......Can anyone confirm how the seatbelt buckle is attached to the truck/seat?

It is just a bolt that mounts on to the frame rails of the seat. I put 05 seats in my 00 and the buckles were missing so i salvaged the parts off my old bench...it was a simple swap

 

Cool man, just what I wanted to hear!! Seems like the buckles are a rear item at salvage yards.....may just have to break the piggy bank and pay Ford for one!! :'(

found one at a parts recycler! saved big time!

the replacement too about half a hour, and it was very very easy to do!
