Since I got a 2007 Ranger 4x4 and I wanted to install the overhead console on it, I figured I could post the wiring details on it since the wiring for the 2007 is different from the others.

1. Black (BK) - ground

2A. Console Yellow/Gray (YE/GY) 07 Ranger White/Blue- console electronics power
2B. Console Blue/Red (BL/RD) 07 Ranger Blue/White- console display dimmer input

3A. Console Green/Orange(GN/OR) - Map light power (since the 07 has different wiring I connected this one to my power lock wire which has 12v constantly)
3B. Console Black/Blue(BK/BL) 07 Ranger Black wire - Dome light power

4A. Lt. Blue/White (BL/WH) - Temp sensor
4B. Lt. Blue/Yellow (BL/YE) - Temp sensor

5. Console Gray/Black (GY/BK) 07 Ranger Purple/Orange- speed sensor (not used by some, but necessary)

 

Anyone know if this is the same as the 2008?

 

The 07 Wiring Manual says that the dome light power wire is green/blue.

Where is this black wire? I just installed my OHC and everything works but the dome light. I wired the BK/BU console wire to the GR/BU on the dome light, but I get nothing. The map lights work.
