1993 to 1995 interior

My 95 is wrecked...exploring my options.

Would my dash out of my 95 swap directly into a 93 without any modifications?

If so, I think Im just going to buy a 93-95 and swap everything over to it and continue project...(doors, dash, seats, headliner, speakers)

absolutely NOT! firewall shape is different, mounting points are different, steering column is different, wiring is different, hvac is different. the headliner, carpet rear trim should all work. the a-pillars may work, the door panels will swap (shaped a little different for the dash, but will still work).

94 is the same as a 93. interior changed in 95. so you are limited to 95-97 for a reg cab. 98+ reg cabs are approx 3" longer behind the doors.

oh, thought it was mid 94...damn, I wasn't wanting to get too late a model because I'll be doing a 5.0 swap and I hear it gets increasingly more difficult the later you get...

you know if I will run into any PATS problems in 96-97? I think I also read that odbII is another headache when it comes to engine swaps...almost positive my 95 was odb1...i also saw that they started odbII mid 95....can anyone confirm?

yeah, 95 has a hybrid year. but the shape of the firewall is the same for 95-97, regardless of OBD I or II. PATS didn't come around til 98.

I can tell you that a 95-97 5.0 is a cake walk.....no pats and no issues with obII either. No matter if you are doing a Mustang 5.0, Expo 5.0 or Carbed setup.

1995 model year and later Rangers have OBDII. To ease the transition to the new, more complex diagnostics, Ford's OBDII was phased in over 3 models years, 94, 95 and 96. Certain models like the Ranger got it early, the majority of the car and light truck lines got it in 96

All North American 95+ Rangers have OBDII but it is not such a big problem. From an electrical perspective, the simplest V8 swap for a 95~97 Ranger should be a 96~97 Explorer 5.0. Both have OBDII and neither has PATS. There are many other similarities as well.

Like any other 302 swap to a TIB/TTB Ranger, you can get motor mounts, oil filter adapter and exhaust manifolds/headers from the aftermarket and/or from junkyard donors.

Thanks a lot guys...Ive got the 5.0 (disassembled) in my buddy's garage, along with a t-5 trans. The engine came from a 91 mustang, but no computer or anything. Guess Ill be looking for a 95-97 ranger.
