Mixing tan interior with dark grey interior

Hey guys,

I'd like to get some suggestions on how I should mix and match the tan and dark grey interior in my 1999 Ranger.
As it sits now, It has all tan interior but I have a set of 2004 black and grey seats that are in mint condition that I'm going to put in there.
I'm going to put the grey carpet down from my 2004 2WD.
I was going to convert everything over to the dark grey and I have most of the stuff to do it but now I'm having second thoughts.
I mainly need to know if I should put the complete 2004 dark grey dash in or swap out the in-dash wiring harness and keep the tan dash in there.
(I'm assuming that I should keep the dash and the door panels the same color.)
If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Update}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
I just realized that my dark grey 2004 passenger side airbag is different than the 1999 ps air bag so I have to use the dark grey dash, unless the airbag covers can be swapped out but I don't think they can.

Thanks,

Brian

Yeah, That's probably what I'll end up doing.
I have a 2004 grey head liner, but I don't think it'll work because it's from a 2-door extended cab.
Does anyone know about this?

Hey Brian the air bag covers can't be swapped and the headliners are different along the sides for sure. You may be able to cut the headliner to fit though.

I was afraid of that, I'm just going to install all the grey interior parts and be done with it.

x2. just as much work to paint the interior a stock color as it would be to replace it. and by replacing it, you know it won't chip, fade or crack.

Exactly, because to get it too look GOOD you would have to pull the dash,so why not just throw a legit one in there..

I'm going to install the dark grey 2004 dash. It sounds like painting the interior parts is a bad idea ...lol
If anyone needs any tan parts send me a PM.

some sport tracs have the tan/dark gray mis-matched interior, I personally think it looks good.

Yeah, we actually have a 2006 F-150 Lariat with a tan and grey/silver dash and it looks good in there. That's actually where I got the idea, but I don't know if you could pull it off with a Ranger.

Tan and black look good together I don't see why the tan and dark grey wouldn't. I go for it it would be unique.
