I went to the junkyard a couple of weekends ago. When I opened the door of one particular Ranger and I could not believe my eyes! I found an armrest lid with the latch intact that was in pretty good shape!! Needless to say I brought it home to put into my truck. Here are a couple of pics when I got it home. I did do a little work to the lid. It was not completely broken and shattered as most lids get. I was fortunate with this one. it was cracked down only one seam (the red line). I reinforced the lid and the broken part seam with a piece of fiberglass screen and JB Weld. I tucked the fiberglass screen into the crack and applied the JBW like dry wall mud. The yellow/orange line is Gorilla tape to hold the screen. I also used (3) 1.250" 4d trim nails and JB Welded them into the latch to reinforce the latch. After cleaning the lid I put it in the truck. Back to original and better than the bungee cord!
