I have the floor mats from Ford. They hold a ton of mud and water in them.
I have the same ones for my truck. They do the job, no complaints at all.

Jordan, I have the WeatherTech Floor liners and absolutely love them. A little pricey, but well worth it imo.

Husky liners are the only way to go, they will not move around on floor because they have some prickly things on the back side that dig into the carpet, and they hold anything and they are fairly deep and no water or dirt, mud will ever get in your carpet

Those look awesome. The price is fair too for a first row set. They have a fit note that states that it will not fit trucks with vinyl floors. Anyone slap these in an Edge with vinyl floors?

I searched for 2001 Ranger mats and it showed me these WTF??? This is similar to what I have now. Not the best. Guess they didn't start to make the DigitalFit until 2005.

Or they haven't been able to test them out on a older truck too. I really don't see why it wouldn't work with the vinyl floors. I guess you could call and ask though.

Those are the all-weather mats correct? Not the Digital Fit floor liners

I got a set of Husky liners last month, they are almost a direct fit on both sides. They only come in three colors and are about $60.00 dollars with free shipping. The Weathrtech's were over $70.00.
Try autopartswarehouse.com, they got here in 3 days.

I called Weathertech to find out if the digitalfit liners will fit Rangers older than 05 and they say they will not. I was told that they tested them and the floor contour changed slightly in the newer style. The Husky liners also have a different product for 98-04 and 05-Current so I guess it must be true. That is very disappointing because those Weathertechs seem to be exactly what I am looking for. I was also told that they are only working to develop the digitalfit for newer style vehicles and one for the older Rangers is not likely to come out.

I realize this is a very old thread but I'm into recycling. :-D

Does anyone have any experience with the Kagu 3D MaxPider floormats? ... I recently bought some for my Ranger. They tout their "perfect fit" and are ordered by year, make, & model but the one on the passenger side doesn't fit very well. It leaves a huge gap between the edge of the mat and the kickplate. ... Has anyone else tried these and did they fit as advertised?

The only thing I can find on those mats says it fit's 1998 to 2011 Rangers.
In 2004 and up Rangers the "Smart Junction Box" aka fuse panel and body control module was moved to behind the passenger side kick panel, making the kick panel about 1 1/2 inches thicker.

My guess is you have a 2003 or older Ranger and that's why it doesn't fit tight.

Two Scoops,

First setup your signature with all of your Ranger info; makes it easier to determine the best path sometimes.

I just used the Husky Brand Cut-to-Fit Mats, yes they are a bit of a pain but don't look too bad in the 2003, especially since Weather Tech doesn't make the good one I had to be satisfied.

The Mats are wide enough to allow a slight upswing near the gas pedal and a slight cut next to the kick panel.

That is correct. Ours is a 2002.

In case the manufacturer is unable to replace these with a version that fits properly... Does anyone know if a passenger side kickplate from a 2004+ would just snap into place as a direct replacement for my current one?

Maybe I'll purchase one to see for myself.
