Icon5 Another seat question-99 Ext cab

Hi guys- I'm new to the forum and having searched for an answer, haven't seen anything along this line.
Has anyone ever tried seats from an 2000 Escort in a 99 Ext cab? The list that Allan D has had up for some time talks about older Escort seats working. Thinking that the floor pan hasn't changed from an 00 Escort from a 99 Ranger and wondering if they would bolt in?
Was at the boneyard looking for Explorer seats and found a really nice set that was in a two door Escort. Any thoughts about this, or should I keep looking for the Explorer or Sport Trac seats?

the list that you mention really applies to 93-97 where you can remove the ranger seat tracks and bolt them to the other seat. 98-03 tracks are part of the recline mechanism as well. however, i cannot say if the 00 escort seats will or will not work. anything can be made to work, just depends on how much money you got.

Thanks for the info. Just starting this project so I might keep looking for an easy bolt-in from the Explorer. Most of what I've seen recently has either been junk or way too expensive. I am wanting to go from the 60/40 seat to buckets. I'm not sure I completely understand, do the Explorer seats bolt-in from their seat brackets to the floor or will I have to use my existing brackets and bolt the new seats to them? Since I have an Ext Cab, I was looking for the 2 dr. Explorer seats that have the fold back.

they will bolt in using the explorer tracks. that's why you can use the power explorer seats if you want. you just need to take your seat belt off and put it on the explorer seat.
