billet window cranks?
billet window cranks?
I was looking to spruce up my interior and have decided billet will do the job. While looking around i found a couple sites that have billet window cranks. Now they say will fit all new model ford but i was wondering if anyone had experiance with them? Thanks in advance for your help. -Joe
I wanted to order some too, to match my billet A/C *****, door lock pins, headlight ****, and turn signal ****. However I never wanted to dish out the money for them, since I couldn't find them less than $100!
Ford used a standard window crank shaft for all of their manual windows. It's a hex shaft that secures the handle with a small torx screw which screws into the end of the shaft. Kinda hard to explain, but it's a "Male" and "female" end, in which the female end has a hole in the middle for the screw, which screws into the threaded hole in the middle of the male end.
I would imagine any crank other than our cheapo vibrating plastic ones would be a nice upgrade!

Be careful with what you purchase. Most window cranks are designed to mount to the shaft if it protrudes PAST the door panel. Rangers are BEHIND the panel, so you will need a longer shaft on the crank to fit.
Thank you i didnt know that. Well thats prolly why i cant find any ranger pictures with them. O-well guess i will have to do everything else first no big. Thank for your help though bro makes it easier to talk to people who know specific stuff like that.
