Bored so I fixed my power window
Have had the problem for about a year, power window stopped about half inch from top. Know the problem was a worn out regulator, had been to the local junk yards searched the internet but didn't want to spend the money to buy one so I fixed mine.
Heres what I did. After pulling out the power regulator and pulling the motor and gear box off I found The quadrant gear missing four teeth. (first picture) welded where the teeth were missing (second picture) cut new teeth with a file (third picture).
Works great window is like brand new. I don't know if it was worth the time, about 2 hours but like I said I was bored.
