I have a 94 regular cab ranger. I bought it for $700 and am in the process of fixing it up. I have redone the entire interior, all that is left is carpet and to make a center console. My question is...

If I buy extended cab carpet, will it fit fine but just have extra in the back? My reason for asking is that I would like to use that extra carpet for the sides of the center console I am building.

I don't know if the floor plan is the same =\
